sbk Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Surat Thani residents gather to show support for PM Over 5,000 people from all walks of life in Surat Thani Province gathered today (April 14) to express support for the Prime Minister during this time of social turmoil, urging him to continue working for the betterment of the Thai people. Early this evening at the Surat Thani provincial hall, residents of the province from a variety of occupations and social circles gathered in support of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva for his continued effort in remedying the state of national strife. The 5,000 strong group condemned the actions of red-shirt protesters while commending the Government for its efforts in protecting the monarchy and bringing prosperity to the nation. Surat Thani Governor Pracha Terat received a letter of intent from the group before meeting and thanking members of the gathered crowd. Source: National News Bureau
