Wd 640gb Sata

Just bought a WD 640GB hard drive, my 'C' drive is full......... 250 GB with the 2 OS in 2 partitions on this HDD.. [have dual boot]

I also have HDClone Software, so the idea was to clone this drive to the 640GB and put the 250 into one of the USB HDD cases..[as a backup]

I use genuine Vista Ultimate

1st problem installed the HDD drivers install automatically and in 'Device manager' it shows and says working properly.reads 610480 MB..

but under 'My Computer' is shows as HDD device 'I' and 3.24 MB FREE of 7.81 MB ??

Please advise, before starting feel sure the 640 GB should show as 610+ GB FREE

Did you format the new HD already?

I'm getting old.............. Stupid me forget to format the new drive......... So now shows correct
