You seem to be on a visa entry and you can extend that for 60 days to visit wife. By that time your money should be OK for retirement. Will cost an extra 1,900 baht for the two month extension of stay but will provide the time you need and 14 months rather than 12 months.

I am going to summarize what you have said.

This will be your first extesnion.

When did the funds go below 800,000?

For first s time extension the money only has to be in the bank for 2 months.

If this does not help then can you get an inocme letter from your embassy so that you could use the combined method of income and money in the bank. For example could you show income equal to 100,000 baht for the year and then the remainder as money in the bank. For the combined inocme option the money does not have to be in the bank for a fixed amount of time.

As said the money has to be in the bank for 2 months.

As also said you can get an extension for 60 days to visit your son if he is Thai. This would give a bit more time.

Question to those in the know.

Could the OP not get a Visa O based on a Thai child, thus only requiring 400,000Baht in the Bank, then when this is due for renewal change to a Retirement Visa? Or have I missed something?

Immigration is unwilling to grant an extension based on having a Thai child when you don't have custody over the child. Since they are not married, it is unclear if Op has custody. But probably immigration will extend his stay by 60 days based on having a Thai child and after that extend based on retirement.

Yes he could get an extension based upon haveing a Thai child (it's not a visa). But how easy that will be to get will depend upon the local immigration office he has to use.

But if he needs or wants more time the 60 day extension should be easy to get.

All this assuming the child is Thai. He does not say.

the child is Thai

and i don't have custody over the child.

my name on his birth certificate .

the funds go below 800,000 from the 17/4 till today 24/4

it was about 751000 baht

now 891,000

re entry permit till 17/6

if ??? i get an extension for 60 days to visit son

and after

what is the requirement for the extension based on retirement

You can get a 60 day extension of stay to visit your child with the birth certificate only.

I suggest you do that or talk to immigration about getting your 1 year extension based upon having a child. Most immigration offices will give this extension if you and the childs mother are living as a family. When you go to immigration take unofficial wife and your child with you. Have her take houseboodk and ID card along also. The money does not have to be in the bank for any fixed time for this extesnsion.

Immigration might let you slide by for the few days that your account was short the money. But it is hard to know for sure unless you go and try. It only has to there for 2 months for the first application.

o.k

i am on the process of getting a letter of my

pension in my home country.

it will be in English.

notarized ,and have the stamp of the Thai embassy in Israel.

1. is it enough or have to translate to Thai?

2. the amount of money is in Israeli money how they know the

exchange rate

It does not need to be translated to Thai.

Normally income letters are issued by your embassy. I am not sure that immigration will accept what you have.

I suggest you contact the embassy to see if they can issure a letter or endorce the one you have.

Link to embassy website: http://bangkok.mfa.gov.il/mfm/web/main/mis...ssionID=64&

from"mfo.gov.il"

income letters are not issued by my embassy
