30 Days On Arrival - How To Count

Featured Replies

I understand that when I enter Thailand I will be allowed to stay for 30 days without a visa. I am unsure how this is counted, though. Let's say I enter Thailand on July the 2nd. On what day must I leave Thailand at the latest?

Thanks.

The days you arrive and leave count, so in your example you would have to leave on or before the 31st July

2nd of July is the first day and 31st of July would be the last day, on which you have to leave Thailand, is 30 days.

If you have a flight out of Thailand which is leaving after Midnight, so in the early AM hours of the 1. of August, than it should be also ok without a fine.

Are u sure u have 30 days and not 28? I guess it depends on which country u come from?

Yep it is not 30 days, it is actually 4 weeks or 28 days.

It is 30 days. The day you arrive being day one. So if you arrive late evening that still counts as a whole day.
