It can be an important point.

Also, another misconception is that taekwondo is korean.

It is'nt it's Japanese. More accurately a korean version of shotokan karatedo.( also not a martial art)

Native korean arts are very rare and do not contain the Do( way/sport/) japanese charecter

The next Asian Martial Arts Games (merged with the Asian Indoor Games) will be held in Incheon, South Korea between June 29 - July 6, 2013.

The 2009 event was the first and last of its kind. It was supposed to be held every two years, but the event was scraped off and now is being organized within the Asian Indoor Games.
