Neoprene Supplier Wanted

Hi, I'm trying to locate a neoprene (the stuff used to make wet-suits) supplier in Thailand, preferably Bangkok. It's not the easiest stuff to find, so any ideas wold be really appreciated.

I have just bought some of those drink insulators - you know the neoprene cylinders that bars drop your can or bottle into to keep it cool - only I use them to protect my camera lenses in transit.

Turning one over I see:

Well the stuff used by lenscoat is proabably wetsuit grade (softer, more pliable), but this is what I use the drinks coolers for:

Not wetsuit grade, but they were sitting on my desk when I read the OP and the company might be able to suggest a material supplier. The OP didn't say how much material he needed.

The stitching for the lenscoat is pretty specialist, like wetsuit seams, can't just take a sheet down to the local market and get the old lady with the sewing machine to knock one out. You might be able to bodge something with aquaseal - I did some okay repairs to wetsuits with that stuff, not pretty but works.

Some brands of wetsuit come with a swatch of material attached (with the label) that the buyer can use for repairs in the future. Some dive shops remove these and keep them to sell to customers who come back looking for repair material ( ). Find a big wetsuit stockist and you may find they have some pieces lying around...

Another source of non-clothing grade neoprene might be exercise/yoga/pilates mats - just a thought if I were looking for a limited amount of material.

Regarding the amount I require, well, it normally comes in 50 metre rolls. I doubt that any supplier will supply less than 10 rolls a time. This was the deal with the old supplier here in Cambodia anyway (he for some reason has stopped importing the stuff).

What I'm looking to do if I can is just bring it over to Cambodia myself. It's a hassle but I already have a registered Cambodian company which is licensed for import/export, so it is possible.

I was in Bangkok over the weekend and had a hunt around the fabric market there. I had partial success: I found people who stock it and others who will import from China. The difficulty is getting the right grade at the right price - what we need, ideally, is 4mm thickness (we found thicker and thinner but not 4mm).

Anyway, I'll be checking out all your suggestions.

There's a supplier in Bangkok and they can find the right materials you need. 

i dont think their "Minimum Order Quantity" is high, you can probably order like 50-100 yards

I got a 2mm black neoprene from them and the price was the best I've found
