if you have read my other posts you will know that myself and wife wanted to go travelling around europe, however getting appointments at german, french embassy was quite difficult, so we called the italian hotline last wednesday and they gave us an appointment on thursday morning, my wife called to check the application this morning and they said we can pick it up this afternoon, now, considering friday was a holiday that is pretty snappy in my opinion..

however i have 1 question for the Oracle that is THAIVISA.com

the time they gave us was 22 days which i can not complain about considering that is alll we asked for, but since thursday we have been looking on the net and we planned to spend 10 days in ibiza at the end of the trip ( i was presuming we would recieve 90 days,)

my question

Is it possible to extend the visa once in italy?

thanks in advance

i just started a thread on this very subject

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Extending-Sc...iv-t261545.html

if you are lucky you may be able to get the Italian embassy in bkk to extend it, short of that, i think you are out of lucjk as am i.

at least you can get an appointment right away versus next year for the swiss!

about the single entry thing, not sure but i think that's a single entry into the schengen zone, once you are in, you can travel around freely, but double check that

Dunno about the extension :)

Once in the Schengen region there are no border controls, the only way you know you've entered another country is the language on the road signs changes.

If you're flying it's just like domestic, no passport control, just need photo ID to check-in :D

Flew all over Europe with the Missus, she had no visa in her passport as she had PR in Italy (on a bit of A4 paper printed with a worn out ribbon). The only time we had any issue was leaving France on the ferry, had a UK visa but the Frog border chap was looking for a Frog visa. Once we worked out what he wanted all was plain sailing.
