Mouth Problems

Featured Replies

Hi there

Since being in Asia I have developed something i dont quite understand. I seem to have loads of saliva in my mouth sometimes, white stuff in the corners of my mouth and some weird type of white goo on my lips and in my gob sometimes. The goo can sometimes be quite thick. It also seems that something is blocked in the back of my throat as everytime I swallow its like whatever I am swallowing food etc its trying to unlodge or scrape the thing in my throat. Its not painful but its almost like a blocked up nose in my throat and if i wated to i could spit every 5 mins, and alot of it. Sorrt if its a bit graphic I just want to give a clear picture. There also seems to be some kind of film over my teeth which is similar to the goo from my throat and when I open my moutn there are strands of thin spit from the bottom to the top inside. Once again Im sorry for the detail but its starting to do my head in now. Its not dehydration as I drink plenty of water. Any ideas who I sgould go and see as the main hospital here in Chiang Mai is a real joke and I wouldnt trust a word they said.

You may want to take an HIV test as oral thrush is the first signs of this disease

Cheers mate, Ive taken four in the last year and the last one about two weeks ago, got the all clear. Had the symptoms for ages but went to a dentist before and he told me it ws the mouthwash I was using, which was absolute tosh as I dont use it. But oral thrush?? Does that have similar symptoms as the ones Ive described?? And how is it cured???

Eat yogurt to get the good bacteria or find it in pills to kill Candida.
