This Weeks Requirements At Immigration

Featured Replies

I wonder if that has something to do with the immigration people (or friends/relatives) operating a boutique copy shoppe on the premises. :)

Or there's just too many damned trees around in this county, and burning through paper holding the same information every 90 days x 50,000 foreigners goes some way to rid the world of this green pest.

Seconding MapGuy - both in CMai and Hua Hin, the immigration staff have been great. Only in Bangkok, at Suan Poo, :) did they mess up.

They use the other side of the copies they get to make extra forms. Last time I got a 90 reporting form that they re-used someone else's copy of their passport photo, not very security minded. I would not appreciate a copy of my passport photo page floating around for anyone to see.

There could be a lot worse "problems" in dealing with Immigration. Thay can ask for whatever they want. Just like USA, England, Australia, and every other country can ask for whatever they want.

I went last week for an extension and there was a Caucasian with his Asian girlfriend BOTH dressed in Thai police clothes (except for the top shirt), including accessory belts with a Royal Thai Police belt buckle.... I couldn't figure that one out.

I have never had major problems with Thai Immigration in Chiang Mai as long as I took everything that they indicated they needed.

I often think what it must be like for a Thai citizen dealing with US Immigration.......
