You obviously haven't even SEEN a picture of the 'bar mat.' Go in to the thread in the news forum, it's very high quality and is not supplied by any beer brewer, it is a meter long, custom made and has tons of Aussie symbols on it. I can easily see how people would buy it as a souvenir at that price.

This is it. Obviously it can fit because it's not the normal type you're thinking of, it can role up. And maybe it's not worth 1500 baht, but that's what they charge, and I can see some people paying it when drunk.

I also dont know what conversion was applied.. I thought they were sold if people wanted them but had morals enough not to just try to filtch them for 800 baht.. But hey facts never got in the way of a good story did they.
