Temper Tantrums Call For A (phuket) Tourist Court By Alan Morison

Featured Replies

There was a guy wandering around Tesco's the other day in flip-flops, knee shorts, a sleeveless vest and wrap-around sunglasses (indoors). Just looked stoopid rather than offensive. :)

Well, the guy's on holidays. I say cut him some slack.

If you live here, I would think you would immediately clue in to the fact that the only people that wear flip flops and shorts outside of the home are poor uneducated people...

Wow! Didn't realise so many people in Phuket were poor. And uneducated.

:)

Who really cares what you're wearing?

It's hot, you're on holidays. you wear as little as possible.

If people are offended by this, perhaps there should be signs of some description - oh! hang on, who's going to read them anyway?

Tourists have, are and will continue to wear what they like.

...Tourists have, are and will continue to wear what they like.

Then they will, and will continue to be thrown out of certain establishments.

The only place that has ever given me a problem about wearing shorts was the Steakhouse at the JW Marriot who would not let me in. I walked over to Steak One, had an imported American Steak and probably saved myself a few thousand baht. :)
