Okay everyone. We're in dreamland now. Its the day after the Thai election and YOU won. Surprised? :o Thought so.

Well, you've sounded off alot about how the Thai leaders run the country so tell us what you would do, realisticly in the next four years as leader of Thailand. Be realistic because you know if you aren't, everyone is gonna get on your case.

I would definitely put corruption at the top of the agenda and go after the guys at the top to make an example to the rest.Mr Thaksin has enough seats to do as he wishes and take on the influentual people.

Some ideas...

Stop giving out scholarships to the sons and daughters of government employees and direct those scholarships to promising young students outside of the urban areas of all provinces.

Investigate the income and land holdings of all police officers and government employees in Thailand.

Initiate regional departments for all government services for the following regions of Thailand: Central, Northern, Eastern, Southern, Northeastern.

Start up local school boards for each province and district in Thailand. Encourage parents to attend regular meetings where they will be encouraged to voice their concerns.

Start a campaign to clean up Thailand by running enviromental ads, fining property owners ( including businesses and homeowners ) for pollution on their sites, having national clean-up days, initiating recycling and composting on school ground so as to promote awareness.

Limiting the number of campaign posters posted based on district or population.

Creating a government program to supply educational posters of all subjects for all classrooms countrywide.

More to come...

Limit the number of automobiles registered in one person's name, at one residence, and by any one company throughout the country.

Limit the number of land one person or one business can own/hold by rai or value considering location, use, and personal wealth.

Make education mandatory at the expense of the government. take all minors under the age of 18 out of the workplace. Enforce mandatory education by creating an army of full-time truant officers/inspectors/school liasons. thsi will also stimulate the hiring of older workers which is desperately needed here.

Beef up Thailand's borders. Stop illegal aliens form entering the country. Enforce the visa laws. Punish those who hire illegals over Thais. Offer rewards for to Thais who inform the government of those employing illegals.

Have a military shakeup. Force all the current generals to retire within four years. Move the younger officers up.

Stop appointing school principals from Bangkok. Allow the principal to be appointed locally from the current school staff.

Allow all government-supported universities and colleges to appoint directors through balloting of each universities staff. Approval from Bangkok will no longer be needed.

Stop all northeastern buses from entering Bangkok by making Korat the local hub. From Korat there will only be two bus services(air and non air) leaving and arriving throughout the hour. If you want to go to the northeast first you go to Korat. This will apply to the north with the regional hub along the CHiangmai Highway in Ayuttaya. And the South with the regional hub in Petchaburi along the Southern Highway. And to the east with the regional hub in Chonburi along the Chonburi tollway. there will be a few local buses in Bangkok going to provinces close to Bangkok or outside of those four regions.

More soon...

Just one major point. change the constitution that eliminates the necessity of having a bachelor degree to be a candidate in the election. the ability to be able to write read and do arithmatic is sufficient. this will open up the possibility for every Thai to get elected and not just the well to do.

the points mentioned by Malenonsense are valid, but to succeed in that you need the common sense of the lower income levels to join in

Stop appointing school principals from Bangkok. Allow the principal to be appointed locally from the current school staff. I'd like to add that the parents of children attending the school should be involved as well by being able to vote for the person of their choice.

I agree with the Bachelor's degree requirement. Right now the only people with Bachelor's degrees are city people and mostly Chinese Thais. There should also be a requirement that the person running for office actually stays in the province they are running for. I think they have something like this but to be honest I am not sure.

Sometimes I think there is little hope for the Thai people. Thailand is what it is. Very few Thais will fight and die for justice and a better life for their children. They just accept things and so corruption flourishes endlessly so much so that even foreigners turn to corruption to get things done here.

Well anyways if you can just motivate the people things would change. I think there is only one person who can get the Thai people to rise up and say 'I'm mad as ###### and I'm not gonna take it anymore' but I don't think he has a plan to speak out soon.

Thailand needs more jsutice in its movies. The blacks in America had the civil rights movement, the women had the women's movement, the gays have done their thing, so why don't the Thais have a movement for change. They have got to fight for their rights. have you ever seen one of those mangy dogs creeping around quietly to avoid being abused. That's a pretty good image of how Thais handle this corrupt society.

I couldn't agree more, I do wish that thai's would take the bull by the horns, stand up and have their opinion heard. Take the UK for instance, if theres something the poeple don't like, they'll rally and start a petition, march in the streets whatever it takes to get themselves heard. I know Thai's don't go in this kind of thing as it's considered 'jai lon', becuase thats what they've had drummed in to them since kindergarden.

Curious as to who you think would be the one that could get the Thai people to rise up and speak out???

Huh? Who's gonna get on my case? I just won EVERYTHING! There ain't NOBODY with with more constitutional power than me! Nobody!

Now, all you folks, thanks for your vote. Your money was well spent, I assure you. They'll be more where that came from, I promise. The more you buy from me and my friends, the more we have for ourselves, but we'll give you more of your tax money, I promise....

Now let me do my job of saving Thailand. Everyone piss off, 'ya hear? :D

Only the top of the top or his daughter could get the people to rally for change.

I'd like to add a few more changes seeing how I am now PM.

I would have every district build landfills and start up services to remove trash from homes and businesses to the land fills. The govt would have to encourage the composting of yard waste. The burning of plastics etc should stop and be done in controlled areas if done at all. I'd bet that district landfills might create more opportunities for recyclers etc.

There should be some community awareness programs on those items which are hazardous waste such as batteries, oils, chemicals, etc. People in the countryside don't know much about this stuff. A lot of them just toss the stuff wherever including next to their water supply.

Back to Education .... I would require all educational books related to English language learning(and possibly other subjects) to be screened for quality. There are a lot of bad books on the shelves of Thai stores. These books are loaded with errors that perpetuate incorrect usage of English among the Thais. If individuals are going to write books to educate people there needs to be some quality control. Are you understand? How about my idea? Do you like?

Realistically think of more ways to make myself more dosh, acquire more businesses, and land holdings. I could care less about my minions!!! :o

Ide have to say 2 things spring to mind... Rubbish and Corruption...

Ide have a 'Clean up Thailand' day. On my last trip to Chiang Mai i noticed that every strip of road was littered with rubbish. I also went fishing in pattaya and was shocked to notice one of the girls throwing her wrappers and bottles off the boat into the water...

Need i say anything about corruption.
