For a few months now my wife has been swearing my hair is growing again. I have not been bald, but my hair had been thinning from male pattern baldness in the front and on top. Although skeptical, I now guess I do notice some new growth since my bald spot on the top isn't as bald now.

She says it is from the healthy Thai food, especially the vegetables. In the states I never ate much fish and few vegetables all my life. Now in the past two years I eat them almost daily. Maybe that makes a difference.

I am interested in whether anybody else has experienced hair growth. Hope so.

Mine too but that's because there are no good hairdressers here. Usually, when I leave the hairdresser's, the police picks me up for a few weeks in jail until they think my hair is fit to be seen.

Come on guys, do you believe this humbug about hair ?

I'm a baldie, but my back is almost carpet-like.

Try asking your foxy Thai masseuse to massage your HEAD in addition to your back! :)

When I used to do 6 months Thailand/ 6 months Uk, people commented that I had more hair when I went to the Uk.

Certainly, something here encourages baldness reversal.

I don't know if it has come back in or not or not because I shave my head. In any event if your hair is thickening (not growing back because it can't) it is probably because of lack of stress which is a common factor in hair thinning and hair loss. Since I have been in Thailand I have reduced my hypertension medication from 20mg to 15mg now down to 10mg and I just took my BP this morning and it was 115/77 looks like I can dump the medicine totally very soon if not now.

Not sure how stress makes your hair fall out (not disputing it), but certainly life is less stressfull here.

I always found that my hair was very thin and brittle in the usual male pattern baldness areas. I had some hair grow there, but it would basically be so brittle it would break off. In Thailand the growth is nowhere near as brittle and doesn't break off.

I've still not got a fantastic head of hair, but a lot better than when in the Uk.

In my case at least, you are absolutely spot on, I'm not growing new hair, just stronger and thicker hair.

Baldness in men is usually caused by an excess od DHT which is converted from testosterone. The DHT atacks the hair follicals and kills them causing the hair to fall out and not regrow. Living in Thailand and eating a good diet may help various hormones to balance out and reduce the DHT which would mean less attacking the hair follicals.

Something worse about excess DHT is BPG or the growth of the postate gland which can be painfull as well as causing problems with urination. The excess DHT competes with testosterone for the prostate receptor sites and will block the testosterone which is benificial for the prostrate. A good quality prostate formula with saw palmento, plygeum, stinging nettles, zinc, and pumpkin seed can help to keep the DHT and estrogen under control.

Estrogen is also a problem in men, as we age more testosterone is converted to estrogen. Zinc helps to stop the amrotese enzyme from making this conversion. Signs of to much estrogen in males, rounded shoulders, enlarged breast, and reduced libido.

More informaton on this subject can be found on the web. Good luck out there and congradulations on the hair growth.
