Stupid hybrid newbie questions (new Toyota Yaris Cross)
You should easily exceed 20km/l in most situations. I drove a hired camry hybrid in Australia recently. It got a touch over 20km/l on average. That included heavy traffic for about the 3 hours it took to get from Brisbane to the Gold Coast. I was quite impressed. Even ym crv diesel can manage 22-23km/l on a decent run. -

Trump to scared for debate with Harris
Rudy told Sidney Powell "you are the worst lawyer I've ever seen." There have been rumors that Rudy is a vampire, and vampires can't see their own reflection in a mirror, so maybe Rudy was telling the truth for a change. Alina Habba? -

The Investing Year Ahead
So another few months until the election and then we’ll see. I think there’s no way out of seeing more inflation, regardless of who wins the US election. Trump doesn’t seem interested in controlling government borrowing. Ditto for the Democrats. -

Kamala Harris Erases Trump's Swing-State Lead, Turning Election into a Tight Contest
Are you disputing that her mother was not from India? That her father was not from Jamaica? Or that she was not born in Oakland, California in the USA on 20 October 1964? -

Human-Induced Climate Change Creates Olympic "Heat Dome" Crisis
There are actually two paths. There's a project for powering Singapore from solar farms in Australia via cable. The second path is electrolysis of seawater ( we have plenty of that too } to produce hydrogen, convert to ammonia for transport. Pilot stage at present. -

Neck and shoulder pains from computer mouse
I would also recommend a foot rest, it is very beneficial for posture and circulation. -

Trump to scared for debate with Harris
He is not uncouth! He is more couth than anyone has ever seen! Everywhere he goes people come up to him and say "Sir, you are more couth than anyone who ever lived." If they don't he insults them, call them names, anything to diminish them, just like any other spoiled 10-year-old would do. It's not any easy job, poor guy, he's running out of vituperatives and has to recycle the slams he started using in 2015. He should remove himself from the race and hand the candidacy over to Vance: it will cause the Dems to be as thunderstruck as he was when Biden dropped out. -

Bangkok Redlight Nightlife Empty??
Did you think the area had turned much more gay when you were there? I started noticing a lot of guy couples at the bars who I initially thought were just associates, but after awhile they looked gay. Just a vibe I got in general, not at an oriented bar.- 1

Thai Tax on UK pensions
Agree 100% & I'm giving serious thought to selling my UK House that same year which would raise Capital Gains that would certainly be assessable (Even after the CGT I would need to pay on it in the UK) but I also believe that, currently, the Tax "Experts" have no more information than us laymen so (personally I) wouldn't consult one until the situation is much clearer (I don't need to make a decision until 2026 so happy to sit back & see what happens). As an aside Thailand's visas have changed so much in the past 6 months It would be silly of me to decide exactly what I'm going to do in 18 months, the LTR could (I'm not for 1 minute suggesting it would) lose it's "Tax Free" remittances or the Non-IMM O could morph into a 5 year Visa/Extension With tax free remittance of pensions (Which to me makes absolute sense for guys from a country that Thailand has a DTA with). But the plan at the moment, is to do an Hotblack Desiato in 2026 🙂
