I think Donovan could be lured to the Premiership if interest came in, I just think he doesn't have his agent sending out brochures all over Europe (*cough*Owen*cough*) as he's happy living in the U.S., though playing for the subpar Galaxy the last couple years could depress anyone (*cough*Beckham*cough*).

If Jozy Altidore keeps improving I think he could one day be in England plying his trade, as he's extremely strong and built for physical play.

roy hodgson is supposedly considering altidore for fulham this summer. i like the look of him, could become a good player.

It would appear as if the Post, or someone who writes for it, isn't too crazy about you lads, either. They ran a headline today about the football youth (?) league, and used the word "humiliated" about the English team. He must be reading my mail.

Considering that most of the reports are cut and pasted from other news agencies, I very much doubt that it was someone at the Bangkok Post. :)

As for the wording "Humiliated" that was even on the BBC website, so it means very little. It was a dissapointing way to lose the European Championship Final, but I'm guessing that none of the guys here are going to lose any sleep over it.

Strange thing being of course, is that those football writers in the BK Post are in fact ........................ English. :)

They are actually Thai, and from when I used to read the BKK Post, they know between little and nothing about football :)

Whatsisname is it that used to write (still does ?) the, sometimes funny, weekly blog ? Because I'm pretty sure the he was also the football writer. Although that might have changed now. But as someone else said. it's all cut and pasted from elsewhere anyway.

Maybe not, but they seem to know enough about the English

First, you want that we watch and learn the sport. Now, you want to forget about it.

It was used on the BBC and it still means nothing. I wouldn't, personally, use that word. It's a little too harsh, and I'm sensitive to you lad's sensitivities. Yuz make a remark about the "Super" Bowl, and the "World" series, but it seems every time yuz play it's some kind of World, European, or some such galactic championship.

As previously stated, what a conglomeration.

I wonder if you know from where the term 'soccer' originates ?

OK, I'll be an ignoramus. You fellas don't seem to mind. Does it derive from "sucker?" or from a shortening of Association Football + an extended use of -er?

Shotime, this is the football forum. If you dont' like it, don't read it. But please don't come on here and troll. It is against forum rules.
