I feel stupid for posting in this thread, but I have to say Nana plaza is a complete shithole. I don't dare touch the railing for risk of getting an unknown infection. It's like walking into a living, breathing version of the Twilight Zone meets From Dusk Til Dawn except Salma Hayek is a cross dressing Thai dude high on Yabaa groping some nerd in spectacles. Then there are the leathery bar girls with eyes that could pierce metal. The whole place stinks. There's one or two decent bars and they are mainly for the Japanese. Nana is much worse than Pattaya imo. It's pure twisted business, no fun whatsoever.

I can't understand why anyone would choose Nana over Cowboy.

Cowboy? So much silicone there... all fake. Yes it is cleaner, and there are less rats and cockroaches roaming

around, but it is still about cheating and lying the foreigners out of as much money as possible, why does anyone

want to hand their money over to lairs and cheats, all in return for a fake experience, the girl doesn't care the least

bit about you, she just wants your $. As soon as another westerner with more $ walks by, she will dump you and make

you feel like crap. So many guys have been burnt at those places, but they keep coming back for more.

to hang there when i worked in bkk about 10 yrs ago, whenever engineers came from paris, montreal, sydney, or dallas,

Nana/Cowboy were the only places they wanted to go to after work - they got lied to, cheated, 2 got infected with gonorrhea,

the project director had huge sores all over his mouth (and i can imagine where else), two ended up falling in love and screwed

over, the list goes on (over several years), so ye, while you can have fun, there is a much higher chance of being cheated and

infected.

Everything the girls talk about there, its so fake, and having to pay hundreds of Bht and listed to her sorry ass story about

her brother breaking his leg, mother needing an operation, or sister in laws husband's father whatever needing a new bike,

and how she got pregnant at 14 and the thai guy left her, and he doenst care and only drinks whiskey and how she hates thai

guys, and how much she like falang, bullshit bullshit, i have heard them all, its all fake and for me, a huge waste of time and $.

Everyone should be free to do as he pleases as long as they don't damage others. I just don't think its a real bright idea to risk it there. Also i would not consider bar girls a smart thing to start a relation with. Though honestly i have been had by my first wife (thai) and she certainly was no bar girl.

you get into a new city and they know all the bars, generally they are shagging around on their wife back home.

So please be careful how much of your true personality you reveal to your girl, it aint cool bragging about sitting

So we got a Tuk tuk and took off. He got into an argument with the bar lady about being able to smoke inside the bar. When it was getting heated I just quietly left the scene. Not looking for trouble. I think he used me for the free tuk tuk ride. I was fleeced!!!!

I met so many guys that we went to different places and none turned out to be gay and they or we were having fun talking to the wait staff in all places and doing the guy talk. Maybe just maybe he took somethign the wrong way. I could not imagine a gay guy hanging out in a place full of heteros.

Even sometimes when you ask a yes/no question you still wont get a straight answer

Someone earlier in this thread also pointed out that a person making a complaint must point the finger,but i didn't see him,i asked the police who said this and one of the girls said the police man gave a description of someone fitting that bloke,they said he made the complaint at the police box on the corner of nana just a few meters from the bar,gave my description and walked away (i can fully understand that the coppers have to follow this up)

Ive heard all about fit ups by the BIB and i insisted that a couple of girls be there for the search....i think the coppers knew it was BS,but they have to do there jobs!

As i said before,i cant understand why he hit on me in this sort of bar or why he made that complaint but it could have turned out very different for me and thats what made me so angry
