Ancient Mini-cars

Featured Replies

There is a cool exhibit at Siam Paragon: a collection of old very small cars. Well worth the visit (while the wife is shopping).

Here's my Daihatsu Trimobile from 1967.

That is sooooo COOL.

those cars have come from the jetsada car museum in nakorn chaisi. put together by a car-mad thai man.

for anybody interested in cars a visit to that strange place is recommended, about 200 cars, mostly brit and euro 3 wheelers and mini cars, extremely rare and valuable, but many european, japanese and american models from the 40's 50's and 60's, some in perfect condition, some less so, are on show. good lineup of classic benzes. some lovely citroen ds too.

a couple of lovely and knowledgeable lasses on hand to show you around .

its out in the middle of nowhere, hard to find, but wortwhile once you get there. most of the cars are open and you can climb in.

info and map here, all in thai.

entrance is free and good food can be had at the canalside market in nearby nakorn chaisi.

very very highly recommended, possibly the worlds best collection of strange automobiles. its an absolute gem of a place.

and for corkscrew, a picture of one of the wonderful desserts on offer at the "iced bread" restaurant in nakon chaisi
