I have retirement visa that expires in September (when I finished work in BKK) but I now spend 6 months UK and 6 months Thailand.

For the last 3 years, I have returned to Phuket in September, just to renew my visa, then go back to the UK until end October.

Q. How can I extend my retirement visa to later in the year (ideal end October). Advice has been conflicting - anyone with experience or advice?

Regards

My guess is you have had yearly extensions of stay but work is not normally allowed if for retirement so not sure if they all have had that reason. Do you have a work permit? Are you sure it says "retirement" next to the extension stamp?

You are now in UK and want to return in October rather than September? Just let your extension of stay expire. Obtain a single entry non immigrant O visa in UK for your October arrival and then extend for retirement 60 days later (December). As you will always be here in December seems to work. The same paperwork is used for 1st or 21st extension of stay so should not be any problem.
