My UK passport is starting to run out of blank pages now so I need to get a new one but how do I get my Non-Immigrant O visa transferred into a new passport? (not an extension).

Many thanks guys :)

When you get your new passport they send the old one back with it . Take both passports to the immigration office when you get them back and the immigration office will transfer the visa you have on to your new passport. No problem. Did it myself a few months ago .

The immigration office will not transfer the visa to your new passport, but it will transfer your permission to stay (arrival stamp) and make a note in your new passport about the visa in the old passport, and a note in your old passport about your new passport.

If your non-O visa is valid for multiple entries and has not yet expired, you can continue to use it for entries into Thailand by travelling with both your old and new passports after your visit to immigration for the transfer of the arrival stamp and annotations.

I did the same thing last year with my multi entry non-o.

I saved a trip to the immigration office in Kanchanaburi to get the details transferred to my new passport because the officer on the bridge at Mae Sot transferred all the details himself when he stamped me back into Thailand.

I am assuming all border crossings have the correct stamp for the transfer details.

I have the same problem as i only have few pages left.

Do i have to go back to England to obtain a new passport or can i sort it out in Thailand...?

I got my entry stamp etc. transferred over free of charge but first I had to provide a letter from the embassy requesting that they do it.

It depends on which immigration office you use. You might be lucky and they don't ask for a letter.

not the actual VISA gets transfered but a stamp added with your visa details . You know what I meant . :) .

No, not even the visa details get transfered,

ONLY the entry stamp.

As already stated you can still use the visa in the old passport.
