Firstly, i am re-newing my British passport as it's full. Will i have any problems applying for a retirement extension when the old extension and and Non Immigrant Visa is in the old passport?

I know all i have to do is go to immigration and get them transfered over but i don't want to make another journey.

Secondly, can anyone confirm what i need when i go to re-new my extension?

Passport with photocopy

Fee

Application form

Letter from the bank stating 800,000 bht (in my case) has been in my account for a min. of 3 months prior to applying.

Do i need any passport photos? Anything else?

Cheers for any info.

Once the stamps are transferred to your new passport you should have no problems

with your next extension.

Reads to me as if he does not plan to transfer and just show up for next extension of stay. If doing, in Bangkok, as of now, he may not be able to get such an extension the same day. To transfer, when on an extension of stay, requires waiting until after 1400 to pick up if you submit in morning - regardless of the time you submit (info current late June). I expect many days the queue for extensions has been closed by this time - but that may vary.

You will also need an up to date bank book showing the same balance as the bank letter.

Passport size photo.

Okay, i got a letter yesterday from the bank to say the 800,000 bht (in sterling) was transfered from outside Thailand.

Do i now need another letter to confirm the total balance in the account and bank book?

I thought i only needed one letter.

Cheers

Do you have to show that the money came from outside Thailand?
