CHUMPHON : Police have arrested three teenage boys after they admitted to hurling rocks at speeding cars for fun at the end of their drinking sessions.

Two of the boys, who allegedly threw rocks at moving vehicles on the night of Aug 5 in Tha Sae district, said they were imitating news reports of stone-throwing gangs on television, police said.

News of such attacks has been widely reported in the media and similar behaviour has cropped up in many provinces around the country, including Nakhon Pathom and Surat Thani.
