banev
Hi Friends, My mate Non-Imm B Visa (Single Entry, obtained in Malaysia) expires after a few days and his work permit application is still not ready, so he can not get extension from Immigration office. What is the best for him to do? Is visa run for toursits visa possible? Regards Kal
ubonjoe
He could do a run for another B visa if he still has documents he used for first one. There is no rule that says he can't do it. He could get a tourist visa but he probably would have to make another run to get a B later after work permit application is complete.

You will have to show passport with valid Non Immigrant visa to collect the WP. Therefore, depending how long it will take before WP is ready, if under 7 days obtain extension at immigration. If over 7 days obtain new visa from consulate outside Thailand.
erezsp
Talking about extension of a non B visa- what are the requirements for such an extension for a WP holder.Does it really necessary to show that the company employs 4 Thais ?what are the options if less than 4?...Thanks. ubonjoe
Four Thai employees is required. If not then you would have to get lots of single entry B visas or a multiple entry visa. Unless company has 8 Million in registered capital KL in the only nearby conuslate where you can get a multiple entry if it does then Penang will do it. PoorSucker
If you are married to Thai national then you only need 2 employees and 1 million baht in capital.
ubonjoe
If you are married to Thai national then you only need 2 employees and 1 million baht in capital. That is a work permit rule. It does not work at immigration. You would have to get the extension based upon marriage.
