GungaDin
I recently paid a storage bill to a co. in Aus using PP. It was around A$600.00...... they whinged that they had to pay $15 in fees to access the money. I didn't have any credit with PP at the time & just quoted my (Aus) CC to PP. If I had credit with PP would the recipient still have to pay a fee? I want to send the same amount to a friend in the U.S. and don't want them to have to pay any fees. What did I do wrong? What is the best way to pay someone, overseas.....not a company? cheers.
Crossy
I recently sent some cash between my UK PayPal account and my Thai PayPal account (thus far I've failed miserably to link to my Thai bank account). Anyway, when I sent the money there was a check box as to who should pay the fee, me or the recipient. Anyway the full amount arrived at the Thai account without fees (fee was charged to the outgoing account). As to getting money from your PayPal to your bank, it varies country to country how much it costs. eg It seems that withdrawal to a US bank is free, but to a Thai bank will cost 50Baht. I suggest you check with the recipient how much it will cost for them to withdraw the funds to their bank, and add that amount to the payment. kamalabob2
Gift, it is not the default box that initially pops up when you send someone money from your Paypal account.
