Hi everyone.

I always find all the answers I need on this site so I really hope someone can give me some advice.

I am here from the UK and before I left I got a double entry (2 * 60 days) tourist visa from the embassy in Hull.

My first 60 days are up on Saturday and I need to do a Visa run as quickly and cheaply as possible.

I went to a couple of travel agents and they kept telling me I can only get 15 days re-entry stamp if I do the Cambodia run. I understand this is true if you just have a standard 30 day tourist visa, but I have a special double entry tourist visa with one entry left.

I really need to know:

1) Am I going to get another 60 days when I re-enter if I go to Cambodia, and will I still need to take a passport photo?

2) I am being quoted minimum of 2000 Baht for the journey, are there any cheaper options?

Thanks in advance for your help

Seb

I think you need to go to Immigration and get a 30 day extension.

You can then do a border run and get another 60 days.

You can then extend that for another 30 days at Immigration.

As long as the visa is valid, you will get 60 days when you re-enter. Check the date to be sure, it should say something like use before ****-***-***

You don't need to take photo.

Know that you can get a 30 day extension of your current 60 days, for 1,900 baht and a passphoto if you go to immigration in Thailand. You can do the same on your second 60 day entry, but enter the second time before the VISA expires.

Suggest you do take one photo. You may not need it for the Thai visa but you need it for the Cambodian visa.

The visa run company I use last time requires one photo and a photo copy of your passport page. If you do not have these they can arrange for a photo or a photocopy at the border for a small fee.
