On October 31, my non-immigarnt B visa expires alongside my work permit.

I'd like to stick around for a month or two (at most) and take it easy.

I am married with one daughter.

I have read about a 'one off' extension based on having a child.

I have also read about an extension based on having a wife.

They both sound good.

However, what sort of financial details MUST I provide for those visas exactly?

Thanks for reading...

You can obtain a 60 day extension of stay based on being married (thai wife). You need to take wife with you to immigration together with marriage certificate, house book (tabian baan) and wife's ID card. Also need copies of passport pages and TM6 card + passport photo. Fee 1900 baht.

This is the rule.

2.24 In the case of an alien

visiting a Thai spouse or child:

Permission

will be granted for a period of not more than 60 days at a time

(1) Proof of relationship.

(2) In the case of a spouse, their marital relationship shall be de

jure (legitimate) and de facto.

Not without a visa entry in between.

I see. Cheers Lopburi.

Would a simple border crossing and the ensuing issue of the 15 day free tourist stamp count as a visa entry?

Just curious to know how far one can goin this case :)
