The bad experience with Ichiwawa are still in our minds (and empty wallet). I wish them all the best and Good Luck but it's not easy to trust a new wireless provider. So I wait and see for this moment.

I think they are more then just a Wifi provider.

I am with Blue Chip, they are simply the best. Well done Matt on offering such a great service.

Roooo is the moderator for this section & he is introducing a new forum sponser. A sponser is allowed to advertise within the forum they sponser & there is nothing "trolling" in Rooos post nor this topic.

So I suggest you make an apology or stay off this topic. Flaming is against the forum rules.

Thairaid:

According to Rule 10:

10) Not to post commercial spam or to post any promotional links, URLs or addresses to a member's own business or that would lead people to your site.

Advertisers are the only members allowed to post links, URL's or addresses to their sites.

----------------

Bluechipit is able to post its own welcome and link since it is the advertiser. No other member can post "addresses to a member's own business."

Any member who violates this prohibition will be banned from all forums on this website.

...did someone other than the advertiser post a link to a member's own business? Oops...well, those are the rules.

This is a welcome to the newest thaivisa sponsor thread.

Where has a member posted the link Mark? Pm me with the answer.

mat...oops I mean thairaid has already been advised to contact admin at [email protected] if they have a problem with the forum rules, the sponsorshop of the site or the moderation & I suggest you do the same.

Ah, my mistake inasmuch as the first post appeared to be a link, where it is just a bold underline. So I apologize for that; however:

11) Our contracts with our advertisers prohibit comments with regard to advertisements which appear on our forums. Such comments should not be posted and will be removed.

It seems that even commenting on advertisements is prohibited.

...you added the PM part after I posted, incidentally.

Again, this is a standard welcome to our newest sponsor thread. Contact support if you have any questions or problems with the rules & either get back to the thread or move on.

I think he may possibly referring to the post by MattCinderey (Bluechip - the sponsors) in the thread "New Computer Shop Opening?":

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Computer-Sho...ng-t293678.html

Whilst it's good to know, I think its important for a forum to maintain their integrity before you get many others replying commerically for every "where they sell" post and if its not okay for a non-sponsor its probably should apply equally, grey areas (where rules are applied on discretion) tend ti introduce problems and the whole "you sold out" and variants thereof stigma (rightfully or wrongfully), I ran a big commercial forum before so I comment on the politics rather than personal opinion (if that makes sense). I see no problem with this thread though introduced by a mod. (tries to be a diplomatic as possible lol)

I see no mention of the company in that thread.

Every new sponsor will get a welcome thread. it seems that only someone with a grudge decided to take a swipe with the new sponsor & thaivisa.

If you wish to discuss it further then contact me or another mod by pm. This a a welcome thread so anyone attempting to take it off topic again will have their post deleted.

I know you are not referring to me, since I would never take a swipe at bluechip.

Bluechip Information Technology is my service provider. The personable gentleman who is bluechip is always on call and as far as Wifi is concerned, bluechip is reliable.

And, of course, the owner of bluechip rescued what is now my dog from a fate worse than death in the streets Samui.

...So the next time you're feeling blue and or eating chips, just think to yourself: "I need bluechip! It's the smart thing to do!"
