walking, elephant, train or bus in that order.

There used to be direct flights on TG from Chiang Mai to Phitsanulok with TG but no longer. You can go via Bangkok but it will take you the best part of a day, 5 hours and 15 mins from take off in CNX to landing in PHS not to mention time on the ground in CNX and the post flight delay in PHS.

Driving as mentioned on the other thread can be done comfortably in 4 hours from downtown CNX to PHS, it's only 330 kms. I used to go there regularly in either my car or on my bike. The bike trip was well under 3 hours including 1 stop for fuel just outside Uttaradit or Den Chai.

Buses are very frequent but slower than self driving and the train takes forever.

As BB said above, drive/ride it in about 4 hours. Highway 11. CNX - Lampang - Uttaradit - Phitsanoluk.

Cheers,

Pikey.

Edit: Just seen that the OP posted the same question twice under different thread names. Why do people do that? Dick...... :)
