Heaviest Rains In Two Decades Hit Bangkok

Featured Replies

The daily observation file, and radar images for the 19th September revealed similar extreme readings for the same monitoring stations in the capital. I can't remember the exact figures and I no longer have the files. Anyone? Combining the data from just these 2 dates reveals that amost 7% of this years total rainfall in the capital has fallen in the hours leading up to and during planned rallies in the city on these 2 dates.

The capital's monitoring stations are already showing an increase of rainfall, of up to 20% over the yearly average. If you were to aggregate the data for the dates of the last 4 or 5 rallies, you will probably find a big chunk of that 20% 'extra' rain fell on days coinciding with the rallies.

Coincidence or extreme cloudseeding?
