Sun Lounges

Featured Replies

Looking to buy some quality sun lounges , anyone have an idea as to the best place ?, i want good quality pref not made from wood ..........

Cheers

I remember seeing some quality loungers in Index Living mall on the bypass just past The Phuket International Hoapital. While you are in a the area check-out Homepro, Homeworks, and SB furniture (opposite the International Hospital)

I would go to SuperCheap; they have a range. Im sure the quality is perfectly reasonable.

I assume you meant sun loungers?

After much research, I recently bought two sun loungers.

Stainless steel frame, synthetic weatherproof faux-rattan finish – absolutely superb quality. You can leave it out in all weather. They’ll even customise the design for you. For example, if you want the frame wider than standard or wheels fitted, no problem. Compared to similar quality loungers (if you can find them) they’re cheap.

If you phone Lars on 08997 10928 he will explain where the showroom is. (It’s in the Chalong area.)

How much were the loungers? I bought a bunch 6 years ago and they are the type you see at the beach and  IIRC they were about 1500/each.

I bought some sun loungers from Kenkoon in Bangkok a few years ago. They originally supplied the furniture for Twin Palms Hotel; that's how I heard about them. Not terribly cheap, but negotiable if I remember right. I also bought some tables and chairs which are very nice.

Left out on the seaside they will still discolour slightly, and need to be looked after, but much less so than other types. They are very comfortable.

I didn't know Kenkoon (?now) have a shop in Phuket.

I'm selling up and leaving Phuket so would sell two of these loungers if interested. (I'd have to check the price.) The rest will go with the house.

I also have six heavy solid teak loungers from Oriental Look in Chiang Mai, which cost THB 12,000 each. These I no longer need and will sell for THB 4,000 to anyone who can collect from Surin Beach.

Please excuse the commercial plugs. Not sure if this is allowed :)

Hi cdmtdm

I did send you an e-mail ages ago but didn't hear from you.

I'm in Phuket until Tuesday 8 Dec 09 so if you or anyone else want to make an offer on some sun loungers, I'm here.

Cheers

Mark
