kid Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 Does the 1 year Multiple entry Visa begin when it is issued and returned to me or does it begin upon first entry ? I am going the last few days of June and do not want to apply too soon if it begins the date it is issued anyone help with a answer please ? Thanks
thaiflyer1 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Normally the Embassys/Consulates like you to apply within the last 30 days before you travel. The validity of the visa commences when it is issued by the Embassy/Consulate not when you enter Thailand.

Get yours a couple of weeks before depature for maximum effect.
dr_Pat_Pong Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Is there an echo in here Dr P.P? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Must be I started a response but was distracted awhile. In the meantime, you had posted. Solly bigly. Mind you, some need double telling
FrancieL Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Your year-less-a-day Multiple Entry visa begins when you enter the country. You are given 90 days to get there. Cheers! Francie Royal Thai Consulate-General, Calgary

lopburi3 Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 And the answer is not true in any case - a visa begins when issued - the stay allowed by immigration begins when you enter the country. A one year multi entry visa starts on the day of issue - if you enter Thailand 60 days later (in June) you are not going to be able to enter again the following June (one year less one day later). Visa will have expired in April.
