As we are now turning this into an anti-farang topic, I find those Expat workers who leave their Lanyard/Company Tag on whilst drinking down Soi 33 very irritating. No need, do as I do, take the fcuker off and put it in your pocket!

Serious inferiority complexes!

2. the visual pollution that the thais excel in producing , (the jumble of wires that run along every street , the clutter and crap that surrounds every house and moobaan , the litter everywhere , the advertising signs and billboards , etc.etc )

1) All the development in Koh Chang over the last year or two.

2) Cars in Bangkok

3) All the idiots at the UK embassy, who haven't filled out their forms correctly or bought the right information, making what should be a ten minute wait into two hours.

I wouldn't expect anything removed -- I'd be willing to trade:

I'll accept MORE corruption, in fact exponentially more in exchange for a big drop in pollution levels.

Other than that, I'm ready to roll!

You'll get over that complex eventually when you realize that it's just a piece of plastic.

Learn your history, boy.

I died in Bangkok in December 1968.

Now I exist in a never-never land, only haunting those who bore me on TV.

My contribution to the game:

1. AIDS

2. Poverty

3. Farangs who wear socks and sandals

There are too many things to name only three.

High on my list would be gray laws that are very selectively enforced and never black and white.

Plastic bags and Styrofoam containers that the Thais drop wherever they are at as soon as the container is empty.

Katoeys who fool me. And especially the ones who don't fool me and try to pick my pocket.

I LOVE it here!

I haven't read all 8 pages of responses, so these may have already been mentioned:

1) Paedophiles (remove 'em, shoot 'em, what ever) :o

2) People from certain religious groups intent on causing death and destruction in order to gain power and to force their ideas on others. :D

3) Sick Buffaloes (send them to India, to walk the streets and be worshipped) :D

But if you could take away three things in Thailand that you or that you think the country could do without - what would they be?

Nice conversation starter but on a practical level removing any 3 things would only make an undetectable difference.

No number could make an impact. The place is more like a carnival than a country. So hang out, pop a few balloons and return to reality.

2. Assigned seating in near empty movie theaters

What I do is slip the usher 20 baht and move to the back where the honeymoon seats are if it is close to empty.

More often than not, they don't notice or care.

Coruption can work in your favour :o

(1) Dogs that sit by the side of the road waiting..waiting NOW then promptly step out in front of you when your riding a motor bike. It hurts!

(2) The squeaky shoes that have flashing lights on them, that tparents force small children to wear so that all the adults can look at them squeeking about the place and think how cute they are.

(3) Sausages from venders that look really tasty till you eat one and find out they all taste like sh*te.
