Very Cheap Bungalow On Phangan/ko Tao For Two Months

Featured Replies

Hi I am new to the forum,

I have been teaching in Bangkok for a while now but I am leaving in two weeks and I am planning to hang out by the beach for a month or two. I have some money saved but as I have been working in Thailand its not as much as people would usually bring for two months.

Can anyone help me out and reccomend a bungalow or guesthouse that would be cool to hang around in for two months(I don't expect anything more than a place to rest my head) that cost between 200-300baht per night? Do any places give long stay discounts?

Or if anyone knows of a place which would give free accom in exchange for bar/teaching work that would be even better. Is there any casual work for teachers down there? I am a girl with experience and all the proper qualifications.

Sorry for asking so many questions its just I know very little about this area.

Phangan still have plenty of bungalows on the 200/300 baht range. And every place still make a good long stay discount. Now low season so a lot of good accomodations everywhere.

About work au pair, not so easy, but you can ask around, remembering the problems connected with the Work Permit.

Good luck.

Kalapanga bungalows on Koh Tao in Mae Haad. The woman owner is as mad as a hatter and may reduce the rent for some English lessons for her staff. Nie clean bungalows near the beach and very chlled. 400 -500 baht a night, less for a couple of months :) .

Sea Sunset Resort, in Woktum (half way between Tongsala & Sreethanu) on the west coast.

Small budget, relaxing, excellent sea view with nature surrounding in Thai local family style... very friendly owner.

That is my place of choice to accommodate my low budget visiting friends, each years, around Songkran when I am organizing our annual gathering. :)
