Can anyone suggest a quiet place that I can use to teach English near Phrom Phong station? I'm doing a Japanese/English language exchange in the afternoon but so far most of the coffee shops we've tried are too loud, thus making it difficult for my students to hear me. Is there a meeting room I can rent or does anyone have suggestions on a quiet place near Phrom Phong we can meet?

Friend of mine has a bakery on Sukhumvit 39 which has a room that's supposed to be a coffee shop but is rarely used. It is attached to the main bakery area but is partitioned off(no doors). Its about 150-200 meters from Sukhumvit road, on the left hand side of Suk 39. It probably would depend on how many students you have, although the room is fairly large. Ask for Suzy.

Check out TCDC at the 6th floor of The Emporium. I'm not sure if they have what you are looking for but it would be worth a look.

You might also check out the coffeeshop called "Chaa by the Park", which has an upstairs area that could meet your needs.

Its a new coffeeshop, located on the main soi between Sukhumvit 33/1 and 35. Just walk the area and you will find it even tho' its not very big. Went by yesterday and they did have a number of customers there.
