For those worried about the tax situation here in Thailand, have you seriously looked into your tax liability? From some of the posts I see that some have but probably many have not. I am a US citizen living in Thailand for a number of years. based on Thai/US tax treaty I pay zero in Thai tax. Social Security is not taxed in Thailand. Also, pension income is taxed by the country of tax residency which is Thailand for me. Sine my pension income is not brought into Thailand there is no tax. I recommend that you look into your particular situation before complaining about Thai taxes.
