Italian Tomatoes

Featured Replies

Hi Guys , i am looking for some quality canned Italian roma Tomatoes for making sauce , have checked Macro , Villa and Super Cheap , purchased some and did the taste test and most are very green and bitter , if anyone has the location of an importer of good quality stuff please advise , considered fresh but quality again is pretty poor ...... cheers in advance .

CdM

I got some in Villa Market (not canned) and thought they were good but my palate probably isn't that greatest.

I've seen roma tomatoes in the Banzan market in Patong.

I found some good (although dutch, not Italian) in the villa market, chalong - ridiculous expensive compared to local tomatoes (like 1.000%), but they sure taste better, totally worth it now we actually got our hands on some real mozzarella as well :)

Passata sauce is a very good substitute.

You could try at the new shop "Buon appetito" right on the Chalong circle

It's an italian importer and I have seen big cans there in stock
