Obsolete Computer Equipment

Featured Replies

I've got an old PC & various other electronic bits & bobs that I want to get rid of. None of it works so I don't want to give it to a school unless they are able to repair them. I also don't want them to end up in a landfill - is there a recycling centre either on Samui or on the main land?

Here in Bangkok recycle businesses (the ones collecting scrap and bottles) are happy to pay you some for old electronics.

I don't know if it the same in the south.

You could give it to a local Government office I have seen some of the computers they are running in there and it looks like something from the 1980's... lol

There is one in Bophut. On your right hand side, about 600 meters before you get to Bophut lights, coming from Chaweng direction, 100 meters before the second Soi monkey entrance. I've taken heaps of stuff there.

I gave a lot of computer stuff to the local recycle guy. I told him it was Kaput but he was happy to take it.

I've found the place you're talking about. It's currently closed for the New Year, reopening on the 4th.

Thanks for your help.
