Obtaining Latvian Citizenship

Featured Replies

I'd like to obtain citizenship in an EU member country so I can live in Europe. While doing some research I came across a company that claims they can get me Latvian citizenship in four months for 11,600 Euros. Here is a link to the process on their website:

http://www.crownpassport.com/program/latviapassport.html

I corresponded with them via email and they confirmed I do not need to first become a resident (it was unclear to me on that webpage) and that there is no requirement to reside in (or even visit) Latvia before, during or after the application process. I simply pay the money, submit the forms, wait four months, and get my passport in the mail.

Seems too good to be true. Anybody heard of anything like this before? Is this a scam?

Thanks in advance

Latvia is the EU country which is financially in deepest sh*t² and might look for funds from any source. on the other hand the asked "fees" are a fraction of what is normally required to get a second passport and the procedure looks too easy both of which (in my opinion) indicates a scam.

Agreed. Smells like a scam.

So your desire to convert to Judaism and obtain Israeli citizenship was just a passing fancy, then!

Or maybe you are attempting to collect as many citizenships as possible.

Or perhaps you found that Latvian citizenship makes it easier to avoid your US tax responsibilities than Israeli citizenship does.

I'm closing this topic. This forum is for serious questions from those who want to obtain visas to or settle in countries other than Thailand. It is not for those looking for ways to avoid paying their taxes. Do not attempt to revive it or start another similar one.
