Physio Therapy For Old Thai Lady Who Stopped Walking

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

my MIL was born 1931 and she has lung cancer. After being hospitalized with an infection, her health has deteriorated.

Bad short-term memory (ate breakfast and forgot all about it)

Incontinence.

Won't walk (she had a weak knee when she was still walking).

This is now dramatic as I fear the worst once she quits walking for life.

Next, she needs to be turned in bed or may get bed sores etc.

Q1: is there a good physio therapist in central Bangkok who would make house visits? Can something be done to make an old lady walk again with a walker and all the help she needs?

Q: What about finding care givers or a young nurse to help with care? Is there an agency, or is this something for the grapevine? Is any of you hiring a nurse aide or a real nurse and on what terms?

i'm asking because we are thinking of moving from an apartment to a house so that a nurse could live there, too.

Thank you.

Chris
