Watched the extra time last night between Egypt and Cameroon. 1-1 after 90 minutes. As ever Cameroon defence an accident waiting to happen. Dreadful back pass let Egypt in for lead goal. Then followed concession of a stupid free kick. A Cameroon speciality remember how it got England out of jail in 1990. The goalie punched the free kick against the bar and the officials awarded a goal even though the ball had not crossed the line.

I had'nt the sound on so I don't know whether linesman signalled or not, but referee had no way of knowing. 44 years on from another goal which never crossed the line and still that stupid Blatter bleats about not using technology.
