Hi,

Bought my Toyota Wish new from a Toyota Distributor in hatyai and since we are not in the country much we are deciding to sell it. We have tried to sell it privately but seems like it is tough and a lot of hassle with the locals getting finances.

We have decided to sell it through the tent - and hopefully get a good price on it since the car has not gone more than 18,000 km.

What are the normal procedures when selling a car through tent. Do we get paid in cash / bankers cheque / local cheque? Just trying not to get conned here so a detailed procedures of anyone who has sold their vehicles through tent and your experiences is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you take it to a car tent they will give you cash BUT a lot less cash than you would expect. They normally offer you 20 percent less than the car is worth, quick sale but bad price. Keep trying will the private sale if you want to get a decent price for your car.
