Thai Passport

Hi

i have a thai friend who needs to renew her thai passport asap,does anybody no if she can have it renewed on same day service,or is it standard procedure to have to wait for the five to seven day service.

I assume your friend is in Thailand. The MFA website indicates that same day service is available in Bangkok (apply morning, collect afternoon), but best to check.

I was in Bangna last Tuesday, my wife needed to renew her visa and they told her it would be ready on Thursday. As we don't live in Bangkok and there was no emergency, we chose to receive the passport by EMS. I don't know if there is a faster way, but 2 days seems like a short delay already. Maybe it also depends on how many people apply at the same time.
