Then I missed the soya souse we use to make souse brown whit-dont know what you call it.?

And different meat, we use to the dark bread-I think this is a Danish fenomen-only can get ham and one or two different things for that, here in Chiang Rai-atleast I have seen.

Of course, scores of times, or I wouldn't know it to crave it. There is no substitute for Ethiopian flavors.

Not been to Africa either. The topic is top foods you miss from your home country. Any food from there. It doesn't need to be part of the national cuisine of your country.

Fresh brussel sprouts

Good seranho Ham with cold press olive oil

1. #16 Sandwich with extra pickles and peppers from Togo's Santa Cruz. Take it to go and eat it at the beach.

2. Sunday morning Corned Beef hash and eggs at Gilda's on the Wharf in Santa Cruz accompanied by the best old school Bloody Marys' on the planet.

3. Carne Asada Burrito from Hector's Panaderia in Watsonville.

4. The salad bar at The Crows Nest Restaurant at the yacht harbor in Santa Cruz.

5. Corndog from the Boardwalk.

6. Tacos and margaritas at El Palomar

As you can tell, I am from Santa Cruz, Ca.

Une bonne baguette avec du beurre et une verre de kir (du creme de casis avec un bon vin blanc sec) - a very simple but wonderful aperitif for me... though I would miss my almost daily "kow soi" chicken currey noodle soup!

I share some of those memories but probably the food I miss the most from there is the squid and chips on the wharf.

Really fancy a big plate of stovies right now :)
