Crown Which One?

Featured Replies

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, have had 4 seessions of root canal treatment and now its time for the crown to be fitted, but which one?

I have been given a choice of :non precious post & crown 7000bht:palladium &post 10500bht And :semi precious & post 13000bht. I haven,t had a crown fitted before so i just don,t know. The tooth is not that visible(lower left) so looks aren,t important. Any suggestions.

the less expensive metals like paladium often have higher bio compatibility issues. Try to make sure there is no nickel compounds in the alloy. In some countries like in the US and EU they can do a blood test to compare bio compatibility issues. Some choices based on a person blood can suppress the immune system.

Gold would be a better choice and Zirconium oxide is thought to be the best but expensive.

The lesser allows like platinum are plenty durable and able to be fitted well.
