I would like suggestions for someplace to get high quality vision exam and prescription in Bangkok. Easy to get to would be nice. Thanks in advance.

This is the premier eye clinic/hospital and I feel it offers good value. It is only about 200 meters from the New Petchburi subway station on Soi Asoke.

One thing I might add. Bumrungrad does the eye exam and prescription but they DO NOT fill the prescription. You must go some where else for that.

The upscale eyeglass shops found in major shopping malls etc do testing and prescription as well with no charge for the latter. Would not recommend it for a complicated visual problem (e.g. astygmatism) but for simple near or far sightedness, my experience is that they are fine.

This is mostly true, but not 100% true. It is possible to order contact lenses from the center. We do not keep stock on hand, and we do not sell glasses.
