While looking for educational stuff with my 4.5 year old daughter on youtube I came across this

While I had to laugh it's not what I would want her to watch when she might be alone

Looking further there seems to be many videos there deigned to scare or surprise

Haven't checked if these things get passed parental controls

Try http://www.totlol.com/, its moderated to be safe for children, but they take a fee.

A trick is to copy the name of a video from totlol into the youtube search to watch it for free.
