Advice On Completing Ed Visa Where To Go?

My papers are ready to get my ED visa and I am wondering who've option is best for me?

1. Have my school send me the papers in chiang mai and me go to Laos. Then fly to Phuket to start school.

2. Travel by train/bus from chiang mai to Phuket get the papers and then goto KL to get my visa.

I am American and have been here three months on tourist visa.

I would like at least 1 reentry visa 2 would be better.

Suggestions?

A non immigrant visa is only issued as single entry for 90 days or multi entry valid for a year of 90 day entries. Unless you are attending full time university I suspect only a single entry will be issued. From that point on you are expected to extend your stay at Immigration. If full time school perhaps on a yearly basis. If part time language type study every 90 days.
