Axel Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 Friends, I am fed up. For you in Thailand having the slow-experience as well, here an explanation. I will switch off and go for a beer. Date: Sat, 1 Nov 2003 10:41:06 +0700 (GMT+0700) From: "Internet Thailand Helpdesk" Subject: Outage of submarine cable on Oct 31st Dear Subscriber, An outage of our 155 Mbps international link at 20.30 on October 31 is causing slow response to international sites. The outage is due to a break in the submarine cable near Songkhla and CAT has informed us it should be fixed by this afternoon, November 1. Our other two international circuits, via CAT IIG and A-bone are operating as normal. We regret the inconvenience this is causing. Sincerely Customer Support Dept
Guest IT Manager Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 Reminds me of a phone call some months ago from 5 or 6 irate clients saying their machines were slow adn couldn't get on net etc. The response from Loxinfo was that a drot had breached the North-South Glass Fibre south of Phitsanuloke or somewhere. Both optics were out of service. They run together you see. LOL. Anyway..TiT.
