Just back from my regular 90 day run to the border at Mae Sot and everything went smoothly apart from one thing.

On the address part of the arrivals card the Immigration Officer insisted that the address also be written in Thai.

I can speak a little Thai but my reading and writing skills are non-existent so I was asked to call my Thai wife, who was shopping in the nearby market, and she told the officer our address which was duly written down in Thai.

Quite why this is being implemented now who knows, just a heads up that it may be asked for if your going to Mae Sot.
