are the prices at the honda dealership samui island prices? or are they fixed prices throughout the country?

I was under the impression a new honda click was around 45,000 baht max. I was quoted 52k at honda nathon two day ago, when I said to the lady I thought they were 45k she just laughed. the cbr150 is 70k baht - my mate said he bought his for 65k in bangkok.

I'm looking for a cheap run around, has any one bought from the place in bophut just on the left after the traffic lights?

I don't thank they are fixed. I paid 52K for a Honda Click with alloy wheels 3 months ago in Surin. Four Honda dealers I went to and on this model this was the best offer.

It is extra Samui-price to by scooter her. Some years ago a bought a Honda Dream at Samui and payed 39.500 bath. 2 years later I saw the same motorbike in Surrathani at 32.500 bath. A 7000 bath difference, or 21,5 per cent. My advice, go to the mainland and by there.

Springer & Ohm are the 2 main ones I know of, also check out the publications & on the notie boards at Tesco. They are often advertised.

I also know of someone selling an older Honda Dream but maintained, new tires, recent service at Springer so if you want to pm me I can get the specs.

I got my Honda PCX in Nathon for a 69.900 with free helmet. Market price 72.000/74.000.

No differernce in Samui.

Don't look for a scam or a plot on everything!

Springer are in Chaweng, take the first turning into Chaweng from the ring road as if you were coming from Lamai a few hundred yards on the left, or if driving through Chaweng main road go to the very end, past Samui Paradise & First Bungalow a few hundred metres past the last bend, they have a sign up & you will see a lot of very original bike bikes there too.

i bought a bike a few years ago. the boss told me that they are cheaper in surat thani ut when u add the cost of getting over there and bringing the bike nack it worlks out the same plus he gave me a discount and through in a few free bees. they might be even cheaper i bangers but when u add up the cost of transport probably works out more..

you might be better off lookig in donsak the other side of the ferry or Khanom. not too far. not sure about when u have it serviced though. u might have to take it back to the same shop. i am not sure. u can ask them in donsak. anyway it is only 1.39 away and a nice day out

There are tons of Second hand bikes around, just ask around...... but the key things (other than it runs!) is check the oil,... it may never have been changed or topped up :D & make sure there are proper papers (green book, I think) with the bike, or you'll have a real hassle getting it re-registered... to your name.

I paid about 50k for Honda Click about a year ago, Alloy wheels & some other extras... including better tires, at the Maenam Honda Store, service is very good, & hassle free... All paper work done for you & return service for checks & oil, always speedy. :) Even renewing the license was easy.

do u have to pay extra to be shot or s it included in the price. sorry joking. though i would like to be shot and savive. well if i was a rap star i would lots of rapper made there way through being shot. anway trailed off there sorry. em yes motor bikes. best off getting them brand new avoiding all the other hassle. pay more get more.

i have had so many problems with second hnd bikes and cars. if it not the bike its self or the car. then it is the paper work. or the tax exp about 20 years ago. or it is registered in chiang mai. for the money better off going to a dealer the savingon the mainland would only be a few thousand baht. anyway if u leave thailand in say 1 yea u can always sell it. maybe for about 3/4 of the origonal price then u have had a bike for 1 year or about 15 k. can't be bad

All I can say is we have been buying & selling bikes back to them over the past 10+ years without a blip beyond being a bit slow with the paperwork change over but you have to go with what you know. :)
