Big Issue With Getting Registration Papers

I have a serious issue with my new honda car bought in bangkok.

I live in phuket and went to the immigration asking for the immigration form proof of adress ( the one with a picture on it)

I was told they stopped issuing that one and gave me another one ( without picture) i paid the 200 baths and send it to Honda bangkok ( thrue a reseeler)

HOnda insisted to get th eold form but Phuket immigration refused to issue it anymore.

I am driving red plates since october and cannot find an issue to this crazy problem.

I asked french consulate to issue one form prooving my adress buy Honda refused it as well.

As someone be confronted to same probleme?

Any idea how to deal with that ?

Tell Honda to stop being so fuc_king stupid and employ some one that can pick up the telephone and make the neccessary calls. Simple.

Also why the hel_l didnt the reseller do the Registration?

The reseller do the registration of course but he needs this document.

He tried to deal with Honda and tell them to call Phuket immigration.

Month after month nothing happened.

This is a typical thai bureaucratic thing you have big problem to deal with not knowing how to explain simple things.

Had the same problem a little time ago, the police where I live have stopped doing them also. They told me to go to the local Amper to get one, went along with all my bit's and bingo took one hour. Dont know if that will work in Phuket but worth a try.

If you have bought a new Honda car in BKK, have them send all documents with EMS to you in Phuket, and register yourself in Phuket. Immigration adress proof accepted, and you get Phuket plates for your car.

If you have bought from anyone else than a Honda maindealer, I would suggest you get hold of the original reg documents ASAP. To many buyers have payed for cars they still are not the registered owner of, some of these owners have the cars but they are now owned by financecompany.

The excuse to not accept Phuket Immigrations proof of residence is BS, just done it myself. It is accepted by Land Transport Department. period.
